Mission and Vision
Tender Hearts have been supporting medically fragile children since 2016.  We started our mission of supporting medically-fragile children in order to create a better quality of life. With the help of her family, that dream is becoming a reality.

Our vision is to support local hospitals, organizations, and programs who support medically fragile children statewide.

Background
Medically-fragile children and their families are an integral part of our community as a result of our proximity to state-of-the-art children’s hospitals. Families providing care for a medically-fragile child with complex health conditions are often overwhelmed emotionally and financially. Frequent hospitalizations, coordination of care, stress on the family unit, maintaining employment, and mounting medical bills create multiple challenges.

With this in mind, the Board Members and the Doherty family has founded Tender Hearts, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Tender Heart's Board have made it their mission to support medically fragile children in order to create a better quality of life for them. “There are so many children who are born with disabilities, injuries, and/or diseases. These little angels were never given the opportunity to grow their wings and become healthy,” said Debbie Doherty, Founder and Chairperson of Tender Hearts.
Testimonial:
I am Bryce Broody grandmother (he calls me Nandy) and I saw the FB post Sunday of the bike you made for him. Thank you and all who participated in this joyous gift of movement and freedom you provided for Bryce Paula and his family. Blessings on all of you for your filling this need for children and their families. ~ Carol Broody - Facebook - October 31, 2018 ยท
