Art Studio 4:10 officially became a non-profit organization under the parent company Ascend Inc. in 2015. Art Studio 4:10 (non-profit) and Art Studio 4:10 Academy (art classes) provides art programs for children of all ages, physical, and cognitive abilities. Programs and classes are taught by Jen Easterday. In addition to being a life- long artist, Jen has been a registered nurse for 16 years and has extensive experience working with children and adults with chronic illnesses, physical and cognitive disabilities. Art studio 4:10 Academy students actively support community activities of Art Studio 4:10 by volunteering for organizations in the community... especially those that provide services for adults and children with special needs. Modeled after 1 Peter 4:10, our annual charity art auction gives all of our students and friends opportunities to use their gifts to serve the community by selling their art to support local children's charities and The Boys and Girls Christian Home in India. Past local recipients include Child Inc., Delaware Hospice Camp New Hope, Urban Promise, The Down Syndrome Association of Delaware (art scholarship), The Miracle League of Bear Babe Ruth, and Kay's Oncology Camp, The Blind Sports Association and Joy for the Journey Ministries.
