“Why United Way of Delaware?”
We’re often asked this question. After all, why donate to an umbrella organization such as United Way of Delaware (UWDE) when you can support individual charities?
The answer: Positive change happens faster when we work together. At UWDE, we carefully vet and unite nonprofit organizations and local resources to accelerate community impact and help people most in need. Our partners also include social services agencies, academic groups, business, government, and concerned citizens. United, we can affect positive, long-lasting solutions in the First State.“Who Does United Way Help?”
UWDE serves all of Delaware, with a mission to combat poverty and advance the common good. We especially focus on Delaware’s 8 Promise Communities—the most vulnerable communities in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. With our community partners, we’re developing creative, long-term solutions to help children and families thrive.“How Does UWDE Help?”
