Thank you to The Wright Agency and Westfield Insurance

A large donation from The Wright Agency
On October 29th, we were proud and gratified to receive a donation check for $5,000 from the Westfield Insurance Foundation Legacy of Caring. We were one of 76 agencies nationally receiving such an award. The grant was enabled by an endorsement from The Wright Agency, a significant local partner of Westfield Insurance. Jonathan and Maria from The Wright Agency, pictured with Donna Horvath and Ken Ross, supplemented the award with their own personal donation directed to support the Food Pantry's children's programs in 2020.

ABOUT

The Honey Brook Food Pantry began serving local residents in January 2014. The initial “monthly mobile food distribution" was supported by the Chester County Food Bank and a local team from the Lord's Pantry of Downingtown. Today the HBFP operates as a free-standing 501 (c)(3) (tax-exempt) organization and welcomes donors and volunteers from the Honey Brook area and surrounding communities.

WHY HONEY BROOK?
  • A 15% poverty rate in Honey Brook Township - this is among the highest in the county.
  • In Twin Valley School District, 39% of elementary students are receiving free or reduced lunches.
  • Honey Brook residents are visiting The Lord's Pantry of Downingtown (a local non-profit organization that provides food for families of Downingtown, Lionville, and Exton).
  • There are 15 mobile communities with nearly 1,000 units along Rt 322.
Testimonial:
This foodbank is great. I love the free market that they have with all genders of clothes and all age groups, and all the furniture and dishes and everything else they have that people can take for free two help with their house that they can't afford. Carol Ann Mozer ~ Facebook — 5 star
