La Red Health Center provides Behavioral Health Services and has been licensed by the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) under two programs - Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring Disorders.

Our providers work to help ensure patients get help to address their Behavioral Health needs in a primary care setting.

The services we provide include:

Case Management Services for Homeless Individuals
Counseling for Children and Adults
Medication Management
Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT)
Men's and Women's Recovery Groups for Substance Use Disorder Patients
Peer Support Services
Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management Services for ages 7 and older
Treatment Services for Chronic Mental Illness
Therapy Services for ages 3 and older. For Individuals who are students, the therapist coordinates service with schools as appropriate

Long before “patient-centered healthcare” was embraced as a best
practice, Community Health Centers were already providing it. In
fact, they pioneered it. Established more than 40 years ago, CHCs
were among the first to develop a patient-centered healthcare
delivery model that provided high-quality, community-tailored
services accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

Addressing health disparities has always been central to the CHC
mission. CHCs overcome barriers to care by providing non-traditional
services such as language interpretation, transportation, eligibility
assistance, health education, and case management.

By emphasizing comprehensive, coordinated primary and preventive
care, CHCs save money, improve health outcomes and empower entire communities to be more stable, productive and self-sufficient.

Myth: La Red Health Center only serves the Hispanic Community.

Fact: La Red Health Center, (LRHC) is open to all residents of Sussex County regardless of their ability to pay and welcomes anyone with an unmet health care need to visit one of its conveniently located clinical sites in Georgetown, Milford or Seaford.

Myth: La Red Health Center is a free service.

Fact: LRHC utilizes a Sliding Fee Scale, which assesses patient fees based on annual federal poverty guidelines predicated on annual income and family size.
