Delaware State Housing Authority and Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh announced today 1.2 million in Home4Good funding awarded to programs across the state working to reduce homelessness.
The funding will be used to address four key areas: homelessness prevention, homelessness diversion, rapid re-housing, and innovation.
Thirteen programs from 10 organizations in Delaware received funding.
One of those organizations was Lutheran Community Services, the host of the event in Wilmington, as they received funding for their work to prevent homelessness in New Castle County.
We want to give a special thanks to Governor John Carney, Senator Tom Carper, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, and all of our partners for being a part of this initiative to help combat homelessness and strengthen our communities throughout the state.
