As the fall semester approaches, Lori's Hands is continuing to enroll more clients who are eager to begin receiving visits from student volunteers. This will be our largest semester yet, with more than 110 clients receiving weekly assistance and companionship.
As students support clients' independence in the community, they learn about the day to day realities of managing chronic conditions. This service learning opportunity uniquely equips students with insight into the lives of chronic illness patients while also strengthening their communication and rapport-building skills.
Consider supporting Lori's Hands through a one time or sustaining donation, connecting more community members and undergraduates in meaningful service learning.
