On behalf of Best Buddies International, we are excited to help raise funds through this fundraising event to aid in the support of Best Buddies, a non-profit that works tirelessly to confront the social isolation experienced by individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).

This evening will feature dinner, comedy and we will meet Best Buddy program participants and their stories.

This is an evening of fun all while making a difference in the lives of Best Buddies. There will be multiple raffle prizes including several Caribbean Trips and the GRAND Prize drawing for a $1,000 American Express gift card. Also, the best part is 100% of the proceeds benefit Best Buddies. See below to learn more.


WHAT TO EXPECT
$75/person ticket includes a four course dinner and raffle tickets.

Be ready for a dash of comedy with Dan Hagee. He is a former Spy, Bartender, US Marine Sergeant and now Stand-up Comedian.....He has done Open Mic night Stand up acts and fundraisers since 2012. Dan performed a stand-up comedy act at the launch of Autism Village's Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign which raised 3-times its initial Kickstarter crowd-sourcing goal. Dan also MC'd the all-day Autism Village Dance Party and auction held as part of Autism Village's fundraising effort.

Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.

Since opening in January 2018, Best Buddies New Jersey is growing and seeing the need for our programs in every part of the state. We currently have nine school-based chapters throughout New Jersey supporting important programs to build one-to-one friendships between individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our recently initiated Jobs program has placed three candidates into competitive and integrated positions in the community with another five anticipated for 2018. This year, we have 15 attendees from the New Jersey delegation attending the annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference at Indiana University.

Our goals for 2018 include continuing to expand our friendship programs throughout the state, recruiting and training new volunteers, placing qualified candidates into meaningful job opportunities and growing our advisory board.

Many thanks to all who have welcomed me into this new role and I am excited to open a new office and grow our impact in the Garden State.
