Autism Delaware's Executive Director, Brian Hall wants you to join him for an special opportunity to have an interactive Game Plan discussion.

In this small group setting, Brian will share his team's innovative strategies to build upon the successful programs that help individuals and families affected by autism. Brian is also looking for participants from our community to share thoughts and experiences and to offer ideas on Autism Delaware's Game Plan.

Join us for a discussion regarding Down syndrome & Autism. Hear from Charlotte Gray, Director of Down syndrome Autism Connection. Open to caregivers and parents of individuals of all ages. Down syndrome and autism can be challenging disabilities separately, however when combined the challenges can be quite complex and often times are misunderstood by the family members and professionals in the individual’s life. This workshop will take a look at what we know about DS-ASD, explore basic behavioral red flags from childhood through adulthood, learn more about the differences in thought processes and the strategies that can be used, and discuss the importance of building a support network and care team through the lifespan.

Discussions held about the upcoming 19th Annual Autism Delaware Fall Auction, an evening of REDS, WHITES & BREWS, Saturday, November 11th at The Queen in Wilmington. The annual fundraiser offers tastings from the area’s best restaurants and chefs with wine pairings featuring local & regional wines & beers. There will also be an auction for fabulous items and games of chance and dancing to the music of Eleven Eleven. Tickets are available at the Autism Delaware website. Autism Delaware is an independent, Delaware-founded nonprofit organization. It is the merger of two organizations, both started by parents who shared the common experience of autism. The Autism Society of Delaware formed in New Castle county in 1998. The Lower Delaware Autism Foundation began in Sussex county in 2001. In 2010 the two organizations came together to become one, strong, statewide organization.
