Fellow NERDs Fellow NERDs,

How have you all been? My apologies for this #NERD has been absent for the past two weeks. But how so much has been happening. It all started with us working with Holmes Smith Consulting Services, Inc. and the Rosehill Community Center to donate 22 computers to the #students enrolled in her #College Planning Conference. The day was filled with a great deal of information to help guide parents through the college planning experience.

Following that we were invited by Mr. Dan Thompson from US Trust- Bank of America Private Wealth Management to be apart of the Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia event where we were able to meet with young adults preparing for college at the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader event! (Spoiler note: I'm not haha). This program is teaching young kids a #wealth of #knowledge and preparing them to go above and beyond.

So at this point, I'm thinking things for the NERDiTNOW team will start to settle down until I was nominated by my frat brother DeWayne Walker Jr. as the #GlobalLeaderEntrepreneur Awardee at the 4th Annual Triump Awards & #Scholarships Dinner! Again, to see so many people longing to make a change is great. I was honored to #PasstheTourch down to Malachi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lyons, a young man with a #PromisingFuture! 

Then finally I was invited to be a speaker at the West End Neighborhood House by Mrs. Deepa Singh. She was able to coordinate a #partnership with Mr. James Roszkowski, president of Discover Bank where together we were able to give an additional 12 laptops and a year of #free tech support to the students of the Above Xpectations Track & Field graduating seniors. Another group of great kids going above and beyond! 

Now I am sorry that I just rambled this whole time, but throughout all of my rambling, you will see there is one common thing, and it's our #youth! These kids are our #Future and we must #invest in creating a positive atmosphere for them while presenting them the tools necessary to be #successful. When you hear these kids #Dreams and #Aspirations, you would be in complete awe, and then blown away again as they begin speaking of the colleges they have been accepted and how their dreams are coming into fruition! For that very reason, I began the mission to donate 100 computers every year to those in my #communities, both near and far! They might not be the best of the best but it is those small gestures that we do that can have a huge impact on our #society!
